GST/VAT
GST is known as the Goods and Services Tax. It is an indirect tax which has replaced many indirect taxes such as the excise duty, services tax, etc. It is also referred to as Value-Added Tax (VAT) in some countries.
5.12.1 How to set up the GST/VAT function
Go to Settings → Accounting → G/L Code
Set up two GL Codes for the GST/VAT’s billing code, please check with your accountant in advance.
*Suggestion:
Output Tax: Liability
Input Tax: Asset
Go to Settings → Accounting → Billing Code
Set up one Billing Code of GST/VAT, please check with your accountant in advance.
*Suggestion:
Name: GST/VAT
Assign GL code to Revenue: Output Tax
Assign GL code to Cost: Input Tax
Assign GL code to Debit: Output Tax
Assign GL code to Credit: Input Tax
Email below items to support@hardcoretech.co.
a.Billing Code you set up at step 4.
b.The required tax rate, e.g. 5%, 7%, 10%
5.12.2 How to add Tax to the freight
Select the tax option in the Tax column.
Check the freight and the amount.
Click Save.
Generate Invoice.
5.12.3 How to generate the Singapore GST Report (SG Customer only)
Go to Accounting → Report → GST Report
Select Period & Office.
Click Print.
Singapore GST Report:
